Ana was born in Senhora da Hora, in the region of Porto, in the north of Portugal. In 2020, she completed her Master's degree in Literary, Cultural and Interart Studies - branch of comparative and intercultural studies at the University of Porto, with a dissertation on interartistic relations in the work of the surrealist poet Mário-Henrique Leiria. Her interests include studies of the 20th century artistic avant-garde in Portugal and Europe, Comparative Literature, Modern and Contemporary Poetry, and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Peninsular Literatures at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a thesis on the intermedial dialog in Portuguese and international Surrealism.
