John Kennedy Godoy (PhD in Hispanic Studies and Comparative Literature, Cornell University) comes to CU from Western Carolina University. His work is published or forthcoming in Diacritics, Aztlán: A Journal of Chicano Studies, Ámbitos Feministas, Routledge, and Latin American Literary Review. His community-oriented projects have been featured in People en Español and the Los Angeles Times, among others. He is currently developing two manuscripts: one focused on unaccompanied childhood narratives, centering US Central American and Mexican American literature; another on transborder poetries from Zoque, Maya, Garifuna, Purépecha, and Binnizá writers that delve into histories of displacement, extractivism, and knowledge and ethics in Mesoamerica.
